Sorbetto tank top

No zipper, no buttons, no snaps...
Sounds easy doesn't it?
It is.
Have you seen this FREE Sorbetto tank top pattern by Collette patterns?

You can find the free downloadable pattern here.
Again, did I mention "FREE"?

If you are a beginner, this is the perfect little pattern for you.
Since it is such a simple pattern, it's easy to change it up a bit too.

Here's my first one.

I made my own bias tape for this one, but if you use the readymade bias tape -  even easier.
It takes less than an hour to stitch together once you have printed and cut out your pattern.

Really... it's that simple.

The most time consuming is printing the pattern and taping it all together, but it's
well worth the effort.

Since I already had my pattern, I thought I would try another.

This time I tried adding sleeves and dressing it up a bit.

Rather than making my own bias tape, I used a scrap of readymade.

Even with sleeves and added embellishments, this top only took about an hour and a half to stitch together.
Sticking to my New Year's resolution,  all fabric, lace, buttons and bias tape for both tops came from my existing stash.

Yay!

These came out great! I love the sleeve variation and the small blue flower fabric is *perfect* for a top like this :-)
